I'm 42, worked hard all my life. Will never have my own home now obviously as I'm ancient and unsuccessful, and fingers crossed will bow out soon. Mostly because I'm sick of watching people even dumber than me buy house after house on these shows, only one of them works, and that's two days a week shuffling spreadsheets, and they don't even blink at astronomical prices. Seeing them live their undeserved happily ever afters with their spoilt brats, Tilly, Milly, and Lily is more torture than one should have to endure.

The house looks great. However, the constant whinging about pebbledash on these programmes really annoys me. In this particular case the pebbledash wasn't in good condition, but in general I think keeping the original pebbledash on a 1930s house is the best thing to do if there is nothing wrong with it. I have seen rendered houses that look dirty after a couple of years, whereas pebbledash can last for at least 100 years and still look fine if it was done well in the first place. And it's totally in keeping with the style of the house. Some of these houses people have rendered will look terrible in a few years time. It's just a trend so builders can make money.

So many people collect what they believe is something of real value. However, most of the time, it's a pile of shite...... worth zero & financial burden as it will cost £ to remove. Very happy when learning that people make life changing sums.
